With a father who loved filming all the family events with an 8mm camera and a

mother who taught him poetry and the ways of the great painters, Paul James Tierney had to be a filmmaker.

It was a natural path to take.

His rich and varied experience in the industry began as a student at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles.  But his true education came while he worked in the smelly, dark, gut-wrenching trenches of film production, post-production and film marketing after he graduated from the prestigious Peter Stark Producers Program. Since that time, Mr. Tierney has worked on over forty feature films and several television series during

his tenures at Warner Bros., NBC, Roger Cormans New Concorde and several other independent companies. In addition, Mr. Tierney has been a story analyst, written several screenplays, directed two short subjects  LAUNDRY OF THE DAMNED, PART II and KOALA GOES TO THE OCEAN --  and was a member of the Motion Picture Editors Guild, IA Local 700 in Los Angeles.

He also serves as staff to his cat, Mai Tai, at the palatial Casa de Tierney in Los Angeles.
